If you’ve stumbled upon this site randomly, I believe it’s the Universe’s way of making our paths meet somewhere here in cyberspace. Today I create this site, the 7th of June 2017, with 1 goal: to document my journey to lose 20 pounds ASAP.
I’m a 40ish female who’s currently 20 pounds overweight. How much do I weigh now? I have no idea. All I know is this: last time I checked it was September 2016, somewhere in a water spa locker room. It had a large scale, and I calculated I was 20 pounds overweight. So let’s just stick to 20. Sounds like a good whole number to begin with.
The thing is, I used to be soooo thin! Even with a voracious appetite, mind you. But then it had dawned on me: that slim figure of mine was probably my image 20 years ago. Damn.
My slimness is nowhere to be found. But my voracious appetite is still very much present. That’s the problem.
It’s 2017 and I’m facing this reality. Being overweight is kinda slowing me down. I feel sluggish. Carrying an extra 20 pounds wherever I go is like having 6 units of MacBook Air tied to waist and thighs!
More importantly, it’s starting to affect my health that I feel a sense of urgency to finally do something about it.
So writing about this (plus other diet and lifestyle modifications) is my attempt to finally lose ALL these extra pounds. I’m not too certain about this, but I’m gonna give it my best effort.
Every day, I’ll journal the things that I do, things that I eat, and other stuff.
If you’re still reading up to this point, I have a feeling you’ll be back tomorrow to read my next post. Perhaps just out of curiosity. Or maybe we’re in the same boat, and you’re also trying to lose weight.
If not, that’s okay. I will still be here (maybe not every day!) until I achieve my goal to lose 20 pounds ASAP.
